Empire State of Pen by Patrick Vale

Illustrator Patrick Vale has a soft spot in his heart for New York City despite his UK roots. But who can blame him? The city holds a special place for me as well. Watch the time-lapse video below as Vale draws the city seen from atop the Empire State Building. I’ve had the privilege of viewing Manhattan from the iconic skyscraper and while nothing really compares to seeing it with your own eyes, Vale’s illustration does comes in a close second.
